Production Check

Know exactly what stands between you and launch.Read-only access is enough. Three to five business days later you have a ranked list of what is actually wrong, with effort estimates - and the report is yours to keep either way.

In short

An audit written by the engineer who read your code

A deep audit of your AI-built app for security, performance, and production readiness, delivered as a prioritized, engineer-written report you can act on with or without us.

No scanner output pasted into a template. We read the code paths that carry your users, your money, and your data, then push the app until something bends - and write down what bent, in order of how much it will cost you.

What we need from you
Read-only repository access and a short description of who uses the app. Production credentials are usually not required at all.
What you keep
The written report with severity ratings, the remediation plan with effort estimates, and the recording of the walkthrough call - whether or not you hire us for the fixes.

What we usually find

These are the findings we file most often on AI-built apps.

  • 01

Row-level security that reads correctly for everyone

Supabase policies generated as USING (true), or scoped only to the authenticated role rather than to the owning account.

  • 02

    Keys that left the server

Service-role keys, Stripe secret keys, and provider tokens compiled into the client bundle or committed to git history.

  • 03

    Queries with no ceiling

Views that select entire tables with no index, no limit, and no pagination.

  • 04

Storage and backups nobody has tested

SQLite files and uploads written to an ephemeral container disk that resets on redeploy, or point-in-time recovery switched on and never once exercised.

What's included

Everything in the engagement, listed

No line items appear on an invoice that were not on this list first.

  • Written production-readiness report with severity ratings
  • Security review: auth, access rules, secrets, injection surfaces
  • Database review: schema, indexes, row-level security, backups
  • Performance profile: slow queries, payload sizes, cold starts
  • Cost model for your current stack at 10x and 100x traffic
  • Prioritized remediation plan with effort estimates
What changes

What is different when we are done

  • No more unknown unknowns

You get a clear, ranked list of what is actually broken, what is risky, and what is fine, instead of a vague feeling that something is.

  • A plan you own

The report is yours. Hand it to us, hand it to your own team, or use it to raise.

  • Real numbers

We measure instead of guessing: query timings, bundle weight, error rates, and projected infrastructure cost at scale.

How it works

How the work runs

3–5 business days, start to finish. You know what is happening at every stage, and nothing moves to production without you.

  1. 1

    Access & context

You share repo access and a short description of what the app does and who uses it.

  2. 2

    Automated + manual sweep

We run static analysis, dependency and secret scanning, then read the code paths that matter: auth, payments, data access.

  3. 3

    Load & failure testing

We push the app under realistic load and watch what degrades first, then document the failure modes.

  4. 4

    Report & walkthrough

You get the written report plus a live call where we walk the findings and answer questions.

Who this is for

When Production Check is the right next step

Book this if any of these are true

  • You have a working app built with Lovable, Replit, Base44, Bubble, or Claude Code and real users are next.
  • Someone technical asked a question about security or scale that you could not answer.
  • You are about to raise, sell into a larger customer, or hand the codebase to a new developer.
  • You suspect something is wrong but nobody has ever looked at the code with production in mind.

Start somewhere else if

Still unsure? Say so on the call. We would rather point you at the cheaper step than sell you the bigger one.

Questions

Production Check, answered

  • No. The audit stands on its own and the report is yours to keep.

  • Usually not. Read-only repository access plus a staging environment covers the majority of the audit.

  • That is the most common case and it is fine. We audit what exists and flag the architectural decisions that will be expensive to reverse later.
